1st Annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress – Promoting Teachers’ Wellbeing and Professional Development

The 1st Annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress, “Promoting Teachers’ Wellbeing and Professional Development,” took place on 6-7 February 2026 in a hybrid format hosted by European University Cyprus and online. The event gathered teachers, academics, students, and education stakeholders from different contexts, creating a vibrant space for exchange on the challenges and future of the teaching profession.

Across two days, the congress focused on one central goal: supporting teacher well-being and strengthening professional resilience in response to the growing demands of modern education. Discussions and activities highlighted practical strategies to reduce burnout, improve classroom practice, and reinforce teachers’ sense of purpose and professional confidence.

The programme combined keynote speeches, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and thematic seminars, covering topics such as mental health, classroom management, work-life balance, and resilience-building strategies. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in networking and share experiences across countries and educational contexts.

We are very pleased with the success and impact of this first edition of the Teachers’ HAVEN Congress and grateful to all participants, speakers, and partners who contributed to its outcomes. Further activities, events, and training opportunities are being planned, and we look forward to continuing this journey together. Stay connected and follow us for upcoming updates.
